any insurance company insure raceway racing too?

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

All good mate - i just sensed that Andy was in the "in-it-for-fun" bucket of car enthusiasts.

And Ric, - gotta hurt mate. Where did you come off? My Dad had the exact same damage on his car after Haunted hills last time. He lost it at 'Oh Shit' and spun in a clockwise direction into the bank on right hand side of Oh Shit. He just taped it up, re-scrutineered, and did a PB!!

And i suppose those panels would be hard to come by. Would you have to repair it rather than replace yeah?

Straight after the right hand hairpin at "oh shit" corner.
The scrutineers made me take the two left hand wheels off, deflate them and clean the sand and grass out of the bead, before blowing them up again.
I bit of a bend to the fron mudguard was all we needed to stop it rubbing the tyre, and I was good to go again in the afternoon.

They're alumnium panels (hard to work with), and expensive. (about $1300 for the back, and $1700 for the front)
They do just unbolt from the car though.

Ah bad luck Ric, HH is such a tight track there were 2 offs the time I went as well.

You're right about the premium being very high though, consider it money you've saved in the long term! (not sure if you considered how much the excess would be if you actually wanted to make a claim).

I never been to a race track. I want to go there to try but I just want to be 100% sure that my car is covered and also covered other people's car if I happen to hit them (touch wood).

"Also they only cover you up to $20.000" over up to $20.000 = no cover. imagine if you hit a GTR or a GT3. You can never tell what will happen on the track. Sure 99% of the time it be fine. But still. That's why most ppl have car insurance even when they've never had accident before.

If you're on a track and make contact the owner foots the bill - its the risk of racing. If you hit a GTR or GT3 sucks to be them but you don't need to pay and I suspect Shannons probably doesn't pay for other cars.

besides if they can afford to track a GTR or Ferrari or Porsche they can also afford to repair it when it goes into the fence.

People have K.O'd my Racing Kart plenty of times the damage bill can be up to $600 or $700 out of my wallet. But its a race kart and thats what its for. I know thats not much money but if it happens to you 2 or 3 times a race meet (4 races in a day) it can be upwards of $1500. then compound that by the fact that I may race 25 - 30 times / year it can mean $20K. Although you'd have to have seriously bad luck and/or be a sh*t driver. Damage bill last season was probably $3 - 4K

You have to be prepared to pay if you want to play
