Air Con - Petrol Consumption

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

Nope

I ADD to the greenhouse effect with my aircon on if >30 ambient :P

Damn, you SA boys would be feeling the heat already. Nasty heat over that way and it's only early in the piece. Since this thread has come up I've taken to running my air con at a lower temp with higher fan speed and the windows down to let some more fresh air in at the same time.

I eat red meat. The bullocks grown to let me feed that desire produce more issues than my car.

Oh, did I mention the leather in the car?

Prius and other poser attempts at being 'at one with the environment' is a big pile of crap. Low volume deisels have been proven to be more economical that a Prius.

Not only are they more economical, they have less impact on the environment. A study was done to show that due to the mining of the minerals and processing of the lithium batteries, and then the disposal of the batteries at the end of their useful life, the overall environmental impact of diesel vehicles was far less. :)
