No kidding , no arguments here, wife has got a cx7 and while she still prefers to drive the suby is happy with it, but glad her company is paying the fuel bill, around 15l/100 km
The Tribeca is made that ugly to make the imprezza look handsome, if it was a bird the mother would have pushed it out of the nest!

Mazda drivers to me seem to be people who just want to drive a car that says nothing much about them (excludng RX8 drivers). Most of my colleagues who drive mazdas seem not to be interested in what they drive.

WHY, I am not having a go at you mate, just thought i should make things clear before you get anoyed (I know would be an exception ).

That's just my own observation and thoughts. I wouldn't have two mazdas in my yard. My brother-in-law has three of them (ute, MPV and small sedan) at his house.

If I did not have to worry about accommodating the kids and the dog I would have an EVO X or late model Porsche. The CX-9 covers everything I need in a car except out right performance.

As with the 3 I know a new one is coming, my wife thinks a car is only to get from a to b and if shes happy I'm happy.

EXCELLENT choice I think Why!

I have a 4th little kiddie on the way (LOVELY little surprise package) and unfortunately the 3RB will not accomodate! The replacement choice for me is the Mazda CX-9. Tribeca, Territory etc just do not stack up! The CX-9 is going to have to be the Luxury Pack though with the nice 20" rims and BOSE stereo! (Why couldn't they include Bilsteins too?)

The ONLY concern I have about the CX-9 is the likely fuel consumption. It's officially at 13l/100km on 91RON fuel. But then the 3RB is officially at 12.5l/100km on 95RON and I regularly get 11.5l/100km on 98RON in 100% city traffic (much less on freeway). So I'm hoping the CX-9 will be more efficient on 95 or 98RON fuel.

I tell you if ever I had a regretful sale of one of my cars, the need to sell the 3RB is just that!

My thoughts are just to mazda drivers in general.

Why drive an mx5 if you can drive a boxster (Cost, i guess). The other two cars are just a way of mazda trying not to loose customers to subaru wrx and liberty GT. They proved not worth it, mazda is not going to make them anymore.

Ahhhh... and this would be the representative sample of the Australian population to substantiate the previous observation.

I think it's fair to say that, irrespective of manufacturer, many Australians are not car enthusiasts. But every person who buys a car of any description makes a value for money decision based on their individual criteria. I think that says a lot about them.... and their choice of vehicular transport.

Good choices Craig...

We were considering the CX-9 very recently too, as the XC70 was up for renewal, decided to keep it for another couple of years though as it's only done 25k, and is a very practical car. I just ordered the extra rearward facing seats for it, as the kids are still small, so for the few times we need to take extra people (read: when the inlaws visit) it's handy. We had a Mazda6 wagon before the XC70 and we loved it, only was too small to fit two baby seats + booster in the back. I'd gladly go back to a Mazda CX next time round.

Let us know what the fuel consumption sits at.

the hummer is not all that roomy in the back, yu could throw a party in the front, an the cargo area is very small, even without the big sub in it.

i have one... awesome car, but not as roomy as it appears!
