I pity you man.

I did the same to my blitzen wheel when doing a u turn for a parking in Melb. The guy at advanced wheel .... quoted me $385.00 excluding tax. Subaru wants $1100+ for a new wheel.

Last weekend people where sorrounding my car admiring it :lol:

and then came the questions about what happened to the wheel. :oops:

From now on it's going into the boot as spare.

the rim is off and has been cleaned and spun to check to see if was worse than just massive curb rash. All good now, sitting at Alliance Rim Repairs for them to work their magic. Two weeks and $160 so not too bad at all really. Alliance does great work as I have used them before. In the mean time I have the full size spare on her so no problem.

Update on rim repair. I picked the repaired rim up from Alliance Rim Repairs in Malaga this morning. Talk about first class work and finish. I swear you can not tell where it was damaged even when you run your finger around the lip. I will post up a pic tonight. Once again I highly recommend Marco and his work. Total cost $176 and done in three weeks.

Alliance eh? Thanks for that tip GTSpecB STI. My better half has given one rim a little gutter rash also... I didn't even know they could be repaired! Good to hear the work's top quality. So hard to find quality trades these days... gotta go with a recommendation.

Speaking of which (and a little off topic) do you happen to know a quality scratch and dent outfit in Perth you'd recommend? I have a few shopping trolley dings and paint scratches that I don't want to repair by full panel respray at rip-off panel beaters! :shock:
