pretentious cars

Nearly everything is in here to start with.
If it's about your car, or Subaru's in general, put it in "Subaru Chat".

pretentious cars

Postby BUDDAH » Wed Jul 28, 2010 8:15 am

Had a few so called car experts over for a BBQ card night last night and the subject came up about what is the most pretentious vehicle on the Australian market. The consensus was the Lexus RX range both the RX 350 and RX 450h second was BMW 1 series as its the BMW one buys when one cant afford a BM

Can any one add to the list as the conversation continues next week

Wouldn't the list be full of cars that look good, but are really shit underneath?

Surely no-one does that better than Alpha Romeo?

Wouldn't have said that about the 1 series... It's a damn good car & even in the 120i with a good overall options spec if still the best part of 55k drive away, so it's not like it's any more affordable then a Liberty GT etc.

I'd go for Merc A Class as it doesn't even look like a Merc nor is a built like one.

In such a case, Cayanne, even though Top Gear said it was one of the best off roaders they had ever driven, how many people would actually take it off road? Are they just buying it to show off?
