No Boost...???

Postby SkoobyGT » Tue Jan 02, 2007 10:45 pm

Hey guys, quick Q.

I was driving my car home tonight, giving Johnno a few runs and when I pulled up to a set of lights it seemed to lack power.

I put my foot down and it is only reaching 10psi max on the boost gauge (when it normally read 14psi) but it doesnt feel like even 10psi.

The car seems to struggle whilst accelarating, but still smoothish.

It sounds like air coming from the right hand side like a boost leak (turbo on drivers side).

Could it be the BOV leaking or what?

I have no ideas?

The BOV was still activating at 10psi, but it scared me to push it too much.

I will check all the hoses and see if one has popped off or split et.

i will try and book the car in for a service on fri or sat as it needs it anyways.

But it would be nice to fix it myself.

Ta

Mick
