Pink STI springs on 2005 GT liberty 5AT

Been looking to lower my ride and heard springs are a cheap way of doing so. I’ve heard a lot of talk about the pink STI springs on the spec b’s with the bilstein struts and was wondering if they’ll fit fine and/or wear out my stock OEM struts or if I’ll have to get struts that match the springs? Also wondering if there’s any other cheap alternative options for lowering my car without comprising the ride quality too much.

Not very knowledgeable so any advice/tips will be helpful!!

The OEM type struts and springs are interchangeable, as long as they’re specced for BP BL model.

Wagon rear springs are taller to accomodate the heavier rear.

Used springs may exhibit some sag, more noticeable at the rear.

Rear ride height can be adjusted with “saggy butt spacers” and longer mount bolts.

PreFL my04-06 pinks are a little lower than Postfl my07-09 pinks.

The dampers and or strut bearings can start to wear at as little as 60kkm.

Just buy new or upgrade struts, if yours are worn out, eg not working as intended.

Let your budget determine how fancy you go, it might be worth spending up on at least KYB, Bilstein, Koni or Cusco, to mention a few known good options.
