One major aspect to consider when buying low Km vehicles is that some service items eg timing belts are changed on the basis of kilometres traveled but also time.

So the vehicle in question might already be diue for its second timing belt kit.

Mine had done 340,000 when I sold it. That qualifies as > 60k :-)

As already stated, the is 11-12 years old and the timing belt should have been replaced in 2016 and last year.. It's not just a klm thing. Not using a car much is not necessarily a good thing. To have done 60k in 11 years means it has sat around a lot. Subarus , if looked after can do big milage without being touched. We have 6 in our household and one 07 has done over 430k with original engine untouched , 2 others have done 300k+ so depending on your circumstances you may not need a car that has only done 60k. you would be better off buying one that has just clicked over 110k or even 210k as long as those cars have service history of the timing belts being done. Car prices skyrocketed during covid because there was not much people could spend their money on so camper vans rec vehicles and performance cars all went up in price but that has dived since people can go OS or where ever once again . Asking price and what someone will sell for are often much different. Ask for proof that the timing belt has been done in last couple of years and then offer him $16k. My wifes bugeye WRX wagon was advertised for $17.5k and I offered $12 and he agreed. My 07 GT was advertised for $11.5 with rebuilt top end head gaskets etc and thousands of dollars of goodies and he agreed on $8.5 so forget the $20 , it is just a wish list number. Good luck and don't be afraid to travel for the right car. Were in Bris and have bought cars in Melb and Adelaide doing fly drive trips.
