First up I remember about a year ago when I was in the same boat as you and I bought a safety pack '05 Lib sedan 2.5i. They're great cars, really comfortable and well built. If you are looking for exploiting every inch of power it has though, the difference between the manual and the auto is significant - go manual!
When it comes to the audio input, I purchased a Grom Audio unit which basically emulates (for lack of a better term) a CD changer, plugging into the Stacker port and depending on which unit you get (I got the
BT3) integrates iPod connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity, USB media or the classic auxiliary 3.5mm jack input and also integrates it's controls with the controls on the stereo unit. It can take a little bit to figure out how to use it properly on the fly but it's certainly worth it. Just to clarify, there is a but of confusion about whether the units can be used for different cars say if you change. The UNIT is the same, but the FIRMWARE (which comes pre-loaded) and the HARNESS are different. A new harness can be picked up for about 15 bucks and the firmware is relatively easy to redo.
Cushie Audio is the Australian Distributor for GROM products and are based over east. Other options from Grom for your soob can be found
here.
If you end up getting the car, enjoy the hell out of it. If you're in Perth, let me know and we'll catch up over coffee or something!
