Bicycle Wheel Rebuilding

Postby BillyCorgi » Tue Mar 22, 2016 9:18 pm

Not motor vehicle related, however may be of interest to recreational and competition cyclists.

If anyone out there needs their wheels repaired for their bike, or a set of wheels built or wheels rebuilt I can do them for you.
I am on the executive of our local Cycling Club and rebuild club member's wheels for Road Racing and Track Racing bikes.
Blank stainless steel spokes are held in stock, with a cutting/spoke threading machine.

An emergency overnight repair/build service can be provided.

Normally operate by drop-off & Pick-up service, if any Sydney members need their treadly wheels attended to, send me a PM.

Trust me BillyCorgi has spent alot of time product testing wheels he has built to ensure they are heavy duty. I would go into further detail but I need him to work on my car this weekend haha

I do not sell wheels, I build new wheels, rebuild old wheels and retrue existing wheels.
I do sell spokes, as these are blank-unthreaded and each spoke is cut and thread to the length required.
My workmanship standard is to true in two planes plus nothing -minus the thickness of a sheet of 80gsm photocopy paper.

If you want wheels to carry 100+kg, them you should be running 32 spoke wheels with a good extruded box section or Deep-V MAVIC or Velocity rim.
The final choice would depend upon you wheel application? Road - Track - Off road/mountain Bike, etc.

If you want bullet proof wheels, contact Greg at TWE and get him to build you a custom set. I have 3 sets, his warranty service is fantastic and he sticks by his customers. His communication can be a bit on and off but be persistent, it's worth it!
As per Billy though, 32 spoke is always a safe option!
