Liberty Windows..... Faint Lines

Postby WhiteGTB » Wed Nov 28, 2007 1:20 pm

Does anyone have slight lines on their Liberty Windows?

I think it is from the window guide inside the door panel that keeps the window in the correct position.

Mine is an 04 model and I am beginning to notice some minor lines (like faint scratches) about 2cm (across) in the middle of the front windows.

I am guessing in order to clean that you have to remove the door panel?

I think it's from the velvet guide. Yes you'll need to take the door trim off to clean it.

Hey, yeah it is the window guide. After someone bumped into, a little while after I got it all fixed, I started to see the same faint lines.

In my case it was the dust from the work shop that got in.

Recently I had the windows tinted and the guy, who also owns a Lib, said it was a common problem because we have a frameless window.

It's actually on the ourside too. Since I had the tint put on, and the guys donig a great clean on both sides of the window, I haven't noticed it, even though the guys at the tint place said it would be more evident.
