Subaru stuffed up. Now offering me a 08

How do you select Acc or ON with the button?

If it's like my dad's BMW, inserting the card is like switching to ACC.
Pressing the start button then leaves the ignition on.
I've forgotten how you stop the engine, maybe you just press the start button again.

yeah.. as soon as you put the card in the ACC is started.. so you can do radio etc..

and then you hit the button to start. I don't know if you need to have the BRAKE pedal pressed to do it or not, my mates renault was an auto...

so i'm sure there are some sort of safety precautions etc..

to turn it off, hit the button again.. again.. prob with the right safety precautions in place first.

just felt weird to use.. lol

with my renault, u put the card in the slot, can then turn on radio etc.....to start the engine, have to either depress the clutch or brake and then press the start/stop button

funny thing is, i can pull the card out and the car still runs.....just says insert card all the time, or card not detected

to turn it off, press the start/stop button again

The biggest news for the Legacy GT line, however, is a vastly improved 5-speed automatic transmission that can now be operated by paddle-shifters. Subaru claims a world-class level of shifting quickness for this transmission; shifting time was 0.6 seconds in last year's model, now it's just 0.2 seconds.

The transmission also incorporates automatic throttle blipping on downshifts to enhance sportiness. In testing, upshifts and downshifts were extremely quick and smooth. The paddle-shifters felt a bit heavy compared to other units out there, but this impression would likely fade with familiarity.

hmm they have the reflectors on the rear bar, much better than the fake vents in 07, although the foggies arnt all that apealling imo. but usa models have been known to have different parts.

Aus '07 = US '08.

What they're calling their new 08 just arriving now is our 07 we've had for almost nine months.

But there 07 models came with SI drive and paddles the same as our 07s did.

Just an update, Went yesturday to pick up the loan car, a demo Tribeca 7 seater, thing feels massive to drive and drinks fuel like crazy but the interior is pretty nice. Still havent been told about the exact changes for the 08 expect for rear air vents. Was told that there is a very very slim chance that they may have one here by the end of the month but i highly doubt it,
