A few questions before the installation

Hi Guys,

Getting my Tein Flex suspension installed next week.

The question I have today is anyone out there running Tein Flex with a 235/35/19 tyre ?

Do you have any rub issues ? I have my guards rolled just to be on the safe side.

The guys at the tyre shop said I shouldn't have any issues but if I experience any rubbing, I can return them and choose a 225 tyre that I like.

Your feed back would be greatly appreciated before I drop her and experience that awful sound under my gaurds.

Also on averange how many inches did you guys drop your car on Tein flex or did you go by your personal taste and your driveway.

I was looking on taking my car to Centreline Suspension in Thomastown to get the Tein Flex and the EDFC controller installed. But I was suprised when he told me that it will take 2 days for the entire job to be complete. Is this normal ? I have been referred to go to Centreline as they deal with Tein and Whiteline, there reputation is pretty good. Has anyone used them before ?

Can anyone refer me to another suspention place that handles this kind of stuff and know what they are talking about. :D

Thx.

Trutrack are the ultimate suspension workshop in Melb IMHO. They are meticulous with everything including not using airguns on lug nuts.

Only problem is often 2 or more weeks to get a booking.

And not cheap.

I now use Advantage Suspension in Moorabbin. They specialise in Tein stuff.

That reminds me, I need to chat to them soon. LOL. Thanks Harry!

No issues with rubbing either on mine mate. Mind you, I'm not super low though...

Jim that is what I need to hear cause a lot of these places dont care about our lug nuts.

OK that is one place I will call tomorrow morning and see what feedback I receive from them.

Is there anyone out there with there ride height and 235/35/19 tyres on Teins Flex ?

Go to Pedders Hidelberg or Pedders moorabbin.

Both shops are familiar with coilovers(more likely in Hidelberg and not far from your home).

They will work it for you Harry.

Thanks

Hi guys,

I spoke to Tru Track today and I must say is bloody hell they know there stuff.

I got lost after he explained to me about chamber stuff and balancing the car, height, dampness wheel alignment.

The big day is on the 28th and I receive my car back in the same day which is good news.

I still havn't heard from people with 235 tyres on tein. There must be nobody then.........

Yeah TT work on some real high end stuff, there are often dedicated track cars in their workshop. Well worth the money when you have specific goals.

Haz if you have spoken to all of them then pick the one you are most comfortable with, are in a convenient location, and don't charge too much :)

Unless you intend on tracking your car, I don't think it makes a real-world difference. You specify what you want them to do, tell them not to rattle gun your lug nuts, and let them do the rest.

Hopefully will be ok.

Car got taken in to Advantage Suspension today around 10:30am.

Ready at 1:30pm. All 4 springs were replaced with H&R's. The drop at the moment isnt a great deal, barely noticeable, however im hoping that will change as the springs settle in as they are new.

Service was great.
