What tyres do you use?

Postby Golf Tango - Bravo » Thu Jul 15, 2010 7:29 pm

Hello, I'll bet this has been through before, but it's constantly changing with different deals and new models so an update'd be lovely. What tyres do you run and can you give me some details?

a) Brand, Model & Size
b) Km's acheived and how they're looking
c) Grip and handling /10
d) The price you paid and where you got them

This information would be much appreciated. I'll start:

a) RE050A 215/45R18
b) 45,000km and R/S
c) 9.5
d) $440each from Kmart T&A Sunnybank, QLD

Thanks a lot fellas,
GT-B
If you knew...

c) 6/10 - but i don't drive the car that hard on the public roads... not that quiet, could also be contributed to other mods tho.
d) came with the car.

Liberty GT Wagon (Prior to selling):

a) Kumho, KU36 225/40 18's (On an 18 x 8 inch rim)

b) Only did approx 5,000kms & they were looking good as new, even after a track day - Depending on how you drive, I wouldn't expect to see more then 15-20k out of them.

c) Grip 9/10 in the dry (Until they get too hot)... Grip 8/10 in the wet (Supprisly good considering the tread pattern)... Handling 10/10 for the street

d) $221.00 per hoop... From a seller in QLD which was the cheapest in Australia at the time.
