Has anybody successfully lowered a '07 GT?

Springs, shock absorbers, swaybars,
Brakes, Wheels and Tyres

So has anyone successfully used TEIN S.Tech, H.Tech or STI pinks to lower the Liberty 2.5 GT?

OZSti - You fitted the pinks, and only 5mm lower?

Yup, only 5mm lower on pinks.. but if any lower the front lip would scrape everywhere so I'm pleased with look, ride and practicality.

Got to be happy with that!

YES!!!

I got Tein springs fitted!

Not sure which 1z. Mike had to do all the research. Took him awhile. Spoke to Tein Japan direct but they replied with "no experience". So with his own knowledge he was able to source the right ones for MY07GT.

Had them fitted 2 days ago. Perfect fit with no modding required.

Probably dropped about 40mm. Can fit 1 finger in rear and 2 in front. Fronts are yet to settle ive been told.

I still have no scrapping problems with my sti lip. Still drive straight over speedhumps with ease.

Massive improvements with handling. No more floaty feeling. Ride comfort is still close to stock. They go hand in hand with the bilsteins.

Once again i will bow down to the ya royal PHAT-heiness.

I can guarantee no1 in OZ can get you Tein springs that fit perfectly on the MY07GT. So queue up now MY07 lads.

For around $400 for quality jap branded springs, would you really look at the local makers?

Will get pics up soon when Trieu cleans it and snaps shots! hahaha

So what did you get? S.Tech or Tein custom srings.

Spring rates? Height drop 40mm front and back?

Or opt for the BL9 Tein S Tech UDM springs. -39mm front, -37mm rear.

Maybe even Eibach -35mm?!

Congrats Phil! They are nice springs and the only ones i'll buy.

Do let us know what you ended up getting - from the sounds of the height drop my guess would be the S-Techs (green colour springs) the H - Techs(goldish colour) don't lower as much.

But good to know that they fit our local 07 GT!

Thanks Mo. Definately not a fan of locals. I have no idea wat i got to be honest. I told PHAT i wanted it lowered on Teins. He ordered got them in less than a week. Gave him my car for a day and took it to get it fitted while i was at work then brought it back to me. So yeah service with a smile. Havent looked under my car yet. Been busy with work.

Will find out for you Mo.

Thats a nice philosophy to have Phil, I did the same with my old GT - all Jap parts from the major jap tuners.

Hi Mo

The springs are S-Tech (green) and are a custom test spring from tein Japan.
After speeking to them a few times to try and work out a height and rate they came to the party and made me up a set to try and at this stage there is not part number as ive only just told them yesterday that they fitted with out problems and that the height was spot on

i will be recieving 2 more sets in two weeks

Thanks for the info Michael. Do you mind telling me what was the difference between these springs and the ones for the 07 JDM GT? Ie. part number :SKS 52-S1B00

And also cost of these?

Thanks :)
