My Potenza's are nearing end of life and needing to get some replacements soon.

Is anyone driving on or have had ContiSportContact™ 3 tyres and would you recommend them?

The other option is Pirello PZero tyres. Both 225/40 18's.

It's my daily driver (got a different set for tracking) so I'm after something top notch for the family sedan.....

FWIW my tyre guy recommended the P Zero instead of the RE050A for when I need to replace the tyres... apparently a good tyre and much cheaper. Will be a little while before I get need to do this though

I've got the PZero Rossos Asymetric in 225/45 R18 on.

I can say they are a great gripping tyre. About 95% as good as the RE050 in the dry. I haven't pushed it in the wet.

They are a bit softer than the RE050A and the noise level is about the same - if you care about stuff like that.

The PZero Neros are the next level up and then there's the PZero Corsa which should be a semi slick.

The contisport and the michelin equivant was on the radar too, but I couldn't get the size I wanted. I think the contisport should be really good, aren't they standard on a 911?

Similar to the quote I got at Jax. How's the handling? I love the sharp handling on the RE050A - when I put the winter tyres on I really noticed the difference tyres make to steering response!

I contacted St George tyres about the Conti3's and they recommend them over the PZero's. I think at the top end of the market they are all pretty close to each other and will come down to price between the Zero and the Conti3.

They quoted Conti's at $300 p/corner and the Zero's at $250 p/corner. I'm able to get the Conti3's for about the price of the Zero's so..... will probably will go down that path. Still deciding.

i have had all the above mentioned tyres.

The pZero's are shit, they look nice, but do not perform up to my standard. The RE050A had more in grip in the wet past the wear indicators than the Zeros. No word of a lye, though the pZero's were awesome fun simply because they had no grip.. especially up the snow.. lol. I currently have the CSC'2 on my Gen3 outback which are fantastic(235/45/17). i would rate them slightly above the 050a's in the dry, havent driven these in the wet yet. They also dont have the stiff side wall that the 050a's have, so i would imagine that they would have a better grip in the wet. My previous set of CSC'2 were awesome in the wet, but that was 3 years ago and a Gen1 RS turb wagon. I can only imagine that the CSC'3 would be a step above the old 2's again.

they were definetly not the corsa race compound version.
Nero was definetly not on the side of the tyre. Just Pirelli pZero 235/45/17

My new PZero - Nero's have that written on the side wall and they are a strictly summer rated tyre which is fine for Perth but maybe not the snowfields in NSW I suggest.

Conti = Shit Nuff said. Grab the Pzero's Or the Dunlop Sport Maxx GT if you want?
