Second - also, try to push them on the price... I ended up saving a substantial amount on my wheels with a bit of negotiating.

I goto ForestVille Auto Cares for all my wheel and tyres needs. They're based in Forestville on Sydney's Northern Beaches. They are a Dunlop Super Dealer, and also the mechanic side of the shop is a Subaru Specialist with over 40yrs experience.

Good prices, top service.

Cheers,
Shannon

How about who NOT to recommend?
Bob Jane Box Hill. Only went there because it was convenient since work is 2min away, and I won't have to pay parking for the day

Talked me down like I was an idiot.
When asking about effects of zero toe versus slight toe-in: "You won't notice the difference. Only race cars on a track will notice it, and if you can notice it on the streets, you probably shouldn't be driving. And no offence, but you're not a race car driver."
When talking about caster: "It's fixed, you can't change it." (me: I changed the caster adjustment bushing on the lower control arm) Him: "Changing bushes won't affect caster"

 if only my usual guy wasn't on the other side of town.

A good place one week can go bad quickly with staff changes. Son of a mate of mine is in a Melbourne Bob Jane branch - he has worked in 3 of them now, and I just follow him around when I need some wheel/tyre work. He knows what the best value options are vs originals, will set up alignments as requested as long as you sound like you know what you are talking about etc - eg, Mx-5s turn in better with an extra 0.25 deg of negative camber at the front. I had some wheels re-painted and tyres fitted - he put cushions on the tyre machine to protect the paint, and always uses a manual wrench to tighten nuts for me etc. He did a 4 wheel alignment for me at 25k, and I am now at 69k (regularly rotated) with a few more k to go still, all evenly worn.

hey guys, i thought this might be the most appropriate place to post this. has anyone bought rims from the following website:
http://www.frsport.com/Wheels_c_181.html

im very interested in some rims from there... it says they are like $145? so im guessing thats just per rim without rubber.

what do you guys think?

these are the particular rims im interested in:

NSW

Steer clear of Bob Jane Drummoyne.
A mate of mine took his Lexus IS250 in & bought some wheels, a week later took his car elsewere to get brakes done & the wheels wouldn't fir back on with new pads!
So he went back to BJ with a WTF, & the guy told him "we just stick 'em on & if they fit, they fit". Unbelievable! :angry2:
