I'll keep this first post updated with the list.

SA
  • Adelaide Tyre Power - Sir Donald Bradman Drive, Mile End. Good prices and service - Ask to speak to Troy (knows the most) [Hotwire]

VIC
  • Advance Tyres - Burnley/Richmond. Lowest prices, excellent service and attention to detail. [teK--]
  • MWT - Preston. Decent prices for Hankook and Kumho tyres. [tangcla]
  • Protek Tyres - Oakleigh. Very helpful, and good prices. [Ric]

Very helpful post!

i went to Advance Tyres, over the weekend and they were great. Quick and efficient, great customer service. I then had to drop past Highway tyres for an alignment (recommended by Advance since they don't do it anymore, they were also great.

Cheers.

If anyone intrested in Bridgestone Potenza RE050A 215/45/18 tyres i recommend InterColonial Tyre Services in Marrickville NSW 2204

Rang them yesterday to enquire pricing was advised $300 each i couldnt believe it considering everyone else was quoting me between $400-$450 each

Hence replaced tyres on my Liberty Spec B MY05 today very happy with purchase and great service provided as well

Hey mate, can you please check the production date on the tyres and let us know what it is?
The RE050A's are available for $225 each from Tempe Tyres, but they were produced in 2008 and have a few delivery KM's on them from the Spec.B's coming off the boats that were then converted to Tuned by STi's.

edit: I doubt they would sell you "used" tyres without informing you, but $150 below retail raises a few questions in my mind.

Hi all, hope I'm not off topic but came across these on ebay if anyone might be interested.
They are SUBARU LIBERTY GT SPEC B ALLOY WHEEL from the MY08 Spec B models, no tyres just the wheels.

Which outlet of Highway tyres was this? Can anyone recommend a good place to get a wheel alignment/balance in the eastern or central suburbs?
I got this plan. It's called 'Save Ass'. And the way it works is this - I slip outta one of these windows and I run like a bastard!

ComputerAlign Nunawading highly recommended. Search the interweb there's plenty of positive feedback and I use them too.

Thanks (again) Bruce. I was going to go to Bob Jane before I found a lengthy series of horror stories online. Apparently some outlets even steal your spare!

Bob Jane in Castle Hill. Took my car there for a wheel alignment - cost all of $55. There was a knocking noise after they touched it so took it back and they said the bushes were the source of my knocks.. Told me to replace the bushes then take it back again and they'll check the alignment again for free..

Also dropped me back at work after leaving my car there AND dropped it back to me at work after they had finished.. Now that's service :)

As above, but take anticipated delivery times with a grain of salt as 4-5 weeks can blow out to 12-13 weeks.
