Wondering if anyone could help me make sense of the wheel alignment spec sheet, as in is it dialed in properly, good, bad. etc etc. Tried searching for answers online but couldn't find anything that helped.

Front
Total Toe: +2.0mm
Left Camber: -01*1'
Right Camber: -00*41'
Left Castor: +06*10'
Right Castor: +06*17'

Rear
Total Toe: -0.6mm
Left Camber: -01*37'
Right Camber: -.01*00'


All these numbers puzzled me, so was hoping any of you fellas could shed some light on if those numbers are good and bad. My main concern is the difference in the camber between left and right sides.

For what it's worth, I was once told that the difference was because of the camber of most roads. If you look a road profile, it should be higher in the middle so that water will run towards the kerb.

Many years ago I exported my car to New Zealand. When it arrived, I had to put new tires on it and decided to get a wheel alignment as well. The guy over there told me that there was a difference between the specs for AU and NZ cars because of the different roads in NZ. His theory was that there was a greater camber on NZ roads. This translated into a greater difference between the left and right side settings on the car.

I'm not sure if this is correct, but it's a starting point.

wheel alignment numbers are pretty crap.

i would imagine the front is slightly darty and the rear wont step out?

you really want: 0 toe front and rear.
camber on front is adjustable via accentric top bolt that connects strut and hub.
camber theory is garbage really. you would want to set the camber the same on both side.
the rear is only tow adjustable.

Whiteline have their recommended wheel alignment settings for the Liberty on their web site somewhere if i remember correctly.

You could compare your alignment with their preferences...

Camber - I'm running ~0.5 neg on fronts (same on both sides) and ~ 1.0 neg on rear (same on both sides). Can't remember the Toe.

It's runs straight as an arrow on just about any road - freeway, side street, suburban street etc.... till I hit a bump! Wahaha!
