Hi Guys

Just wondering if anyone have tried to respray Rotors centre bit? My rear one (shitty RDA) is rusting and I don't really want to spend anymore on the rear rotor. What sort of paint should I buy from Autobarn? Thanks!

Regular caliper paint works fine, I have used the VHT brand which is really good, the paint never peeled off as long as you prepare the surface properly. Only problem if you have rusted ones is you gotta sand all the rust off first; better to have painted them when brand new and clean.

I basically painted the whole hub and also the edge of the disc with the hub hanging on a coathanger wire; when refitted the pads will rub off any excess once you brake for the first time.

I used Septone heat proof engine enamel and then used a heat proof clear coat to give it a nice shine.

Heat proof engine enamel might work for the heat factor but I'm not sure how it would hold up to the high acidity from brake pad dust.

I have a pair of standard front rotors in the shed, but they'd need a machine. They are quite new but i replaced them as there was a slight steering wheel wobble when i touched the brake lightly, then it went away. Plus, i wanted slotted ones instead!

PM me if you're interested.
