pics of lowered gen4s and what springs?

Postby IDOLYZ » Thu Jan 25, 2007 5:08 pm

I'm getting my car lowered next week.

I wanted to know what lowered springs people use on their gen4 Liberties, and picture evidence of the ride height? I see there are a few in the photo section, but if anyone could tell me which springs, etc.

I was going to go for Kings, but got told it doesn't lower it too much, so i'm going for Pedders superlow's, which will apparently drop it near the guard.

Cheers in advance for any help,
Ben

Yes I am also interested for my GT 04 as well.

Brands, prices etc would be great.

Mate, could you also post some pics of what yours looks like when you get it done.

Theres nothing worse when lowering your car, when you get it back and it sits uneven or not how you expected it to be.

Some of the cars here that are dumped on their ass have coilovers.

From memorys, some avail springs on standard shocks include:
* King Springs Lows = approx. 30mm drop
* King Springs Super Lows = approx. 50mm drop
* Whiteline Control Springs = approx. 20mm drop on std
* Whiteline Flatout Springs = 35mm drop on std?

If you are changing wheels (which you probably are), and am not sure if the overall diameter will change slightly it may be safest to get custom springs made up (after you've fitted the wheels). Eg. Ozzy Tyres will make up a custom made K-Mac spring to your desired ride high for $390 (incl fitting) - they would use a 3rd party spring resetter who has a furnace. This is probably the route i'll go until my shocks die, afterwhich i'll fit Bilsteins or coilovers.

Kings don't make a super low for the gen 4's.

I have booked to get Pedders super low springs on Wednesday, which will apparently drop it ~50mm.

i didn't buy these in perth sorry... but you should be able to get them pretty much at any after market parts shop - try Vision R, X speed, Speedworks, etc.

exhaust sounds good mate.

i'll prolly just be getting 2 x 3" mufflers, hopefully will make an improvement in sound and performance (slightly).
