What's with my wheel size?

Having only recently taken delivery of a MY07 GT-B, first thing I have to organise is changing the wheels out from the aftermarket ones - BSA G2's - fitted to the car to some standard or STi wheels.

I was having a look at the details printed on the inside of the spare today, trying to find out the dimensions and details of these wheels currently fitted, and I noticed printed 5 x 114.3 ? Now I was under the belief that our Lib's had 5 x 100 PCD wheels.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I'm assuming I have it wrong in some way.

Oh and I was trying to find an offset figure, couldn't see anything that looked like offset to me, any ideas?

Cheers

Our wheels are 5x100. Offset is +55, should be stamped in the back of the spokes (well that's where my Spec B wheels were stamped).

Your car should have 5 x 100 stud pattern.

2005 onwards WRX STi's have the 5 x 114.3 stud pattern. It's stronger, and you can fit a bigger wheel bearing inside the hub, the Rex's are notorious for breaking wheels bearings.

OK thanks. That was my understaning as well. I just don't understand why the spare wheel, which looks the same as the wheels on the car, should be stamped 5 x 114.3?

Might go have another look. Can't imagine the previous owner changed hubs? The car is literally in "as new" condition apart from the wheels.
