New Springs

Postby Tupps » Fri May 29, 2009 7:40 pm

I am looking for new springs for my 06 spec B, I have read on here that a lot of people like the Tein S-tech lowering springs. I tried calling around and pedders said they could order them in from jap. 499 + postage. So i was wondering if the was any other good alternatives? Or places to by the teins from??

Search is your friend! Or simply just browse the 'For Sale' section. :D

Best springs for Liberty appear to be Tein, Eibach and H&R.

Fitted H&R springs to my car. Much better ride and ride height than STI springs. Supposed to lower a standard car 1.3 inches, seemed to lower my 07 Liberty about another 0.5 inch.

Ride is much improved. Simply ride over bumps that crashed the STI springs. Cornering control is quite good and well balanced to the Koni Sports I've had fitted to replace the Bilsteins.

Springs were supplied by Tuspeed and cost $550 including courier cost. But I ordered other stuff at the same time. I was quoted as much as $625 for these by other suppliers.

Mmm, H&R. I had them on my previous ride a long time ago. Combined with Koni shocks, they offered one of the best rides out there. Then I discovered coilovers and could set my height rather than rely on the brand I'm getting.

A cheaper option - Kmac.

They custom make them to your requested ride height when you order them.

They aren't as good as the Tein and H&R springs mentioned, but they are better than King Springs at least.

I've had them in 2 cars now, with standard shocks, no probs, ride is good.

They are cheap too and will ship them anywhere in Aus (they are based in Sydney) I had a full set sent to me in Melbourne for $330.

I asked them to paint them black as they normally come in bright orange, a bit bling for me! lol
