does anyone have any problems with hitting the bump stops?

i was looking under my car yesterday in the rear, and as it sits (which is barely lower than stock) it looks as though it only has about 1 inch travel till the bumpstops will be touching.. ive also noticed in long trips with mates in the back the car will bottom out on ocassion..

is this a problem for anyone else with there car lowered? is it just the lower you go the higher the spring rates need to be to compensate?

You can cut them down abit :)

Probably best to leave a little about a quarter of the thing though.

Yep, a lot of people have done it :D

Was thinking about doing mine, but I don't have too much of a problem with bottoming out, unless I've got heaps of people / weight in the car... Or I hit an unholy large pot hole :P

hmm thats why my car bottoms out hehe.. i thought the travel was too short for the coilovers to be bottoming out..

lets have a DIY shorting bump stops day  and maybe some of you guys who have done it can supervise
