how much k's do your rotors and pads last before you need to change them?

no idea. The standard front rotors on mine aren't too worn at a bit less than 90k. I don't know however if they were the original rotors.

I'll be happy if the DBA4k's and Hawk Ceramics on it now last 30k though

The way you drive, Tony? I was surprised they lasted your trip home from V-Sport after they were installed!

Ha! I was taking care to bed them in properly. Also, I'm nowhere near as hard on brakes as I could be - I use the engine braking that the manual 'box allows me. Actually, even in the auto last weekend, I was in 3rd or 2nd most of the time when braking

Depending on how you drive, I would say the front pads would adverage between 30k - 40k... New discs may be required at 40k.

Rears should last more like 100k.

As a general rule, discs normally get 2 pad changes before needing replacement.

My experience however... Got new pads (MRT pads - yes I know, shameful) & rotors (DBA 4000's slotted) at 34k (Pads were gone & discs were warped - Common thing on Subarus). The new pads & discs were goneski after 24k...

The DBA rotors didn't last long.

my origional pads lasted 55000k which included one track day

mine 16k.........

So far I have done 50K and at the last service the front pads were only worn about 50%.

But as Tony will tell you, I'm no where near as hard as he is on my brakes.

i beleive i am up for new brake pads now. front and rears. What are peoples suggestions? brands? i dont think my rotors need changing yet. prices would be helpfull too. btw, mine is a MY07 2.5i and i doubt my brakes are the same size as the GT's

Yeh, don't go stock again... But I'd probably stay away from Project Mu personally... They are very harsh on the rotors.

Hawks, Dixcel (Probably the best one to go for... With matching rotors of course ) or Ferrodo DS2500 would be my pick of the bunch.

so project mu's a no go? (bloody ed!) so ferrodo is the pick if i dont change my rotors?

It's not that Project Mu have a bad product, but they are pretty harsh on rotors... Ask Shano, he's got Project Mu pads & they do the job, but they are harsh.

Haven't personally tried DS2500's, but from everything I've heard etc they are the goods... Actually, I think my old man might be running them on his C4S Might have to check that out

If you're keeping the standard rotors, I'd probably look at the Dixcel stuff as I know they have been trailed by several members of the OEM rotors with no dramas Good performance to
