E.O.I. AVO 5MT Short Shifter

Postby drndrn » Thu Jan 15, 2009 6:45 pm

I know this may be in the wrong section, but if I were to put it in the 2.5i section I assume some of you GT boys wouldn't bother taking a look.

So far myself and my cousin may be looking to get these

http://www.avoturbo.com/avoshop/product ... ts_id=1015

For our cars, and just wondering if any of you other boys would be interested. Obviously if there were a large number of us we could strike ourselves a deal with AVO.

So, anyone else?

here's the response i got back from my contact in the US.

"For PSP-INR-200 (5 Speed)

1 to 5: US$80
6 to 10: US$75

Retail is US$82.99

Shipping is $30 for 5 and $45 for 10."

seems that perrin is doing deal only on their site and not through their dealers.

i'm thinking of getting them shipped to me in melbourne, vic, then i'll onforward them to you guys.

anyone in vic can con pick it up (preferred cos i hate going to the post office and it'll be good to meet up)

i know that EOIs tend to go on FOREVER so i'm thinking that you guys might want to finalize this by end of the month with the aim to have them by mid feb.

Alright let's just say we get between 1-5 people.. That's $80USD ($120AUD)..

If you were to order them in, how much would you be charging us? Because with $30 split between say.. 3 people.. 5 at most.. That's still close to the AVO price. And AVO can get stock in a week or so. (I think)

Also, are there any differences between the two? Is one better than the other?

i typed this really long post about the potential differences, but i deleted it cos i thought to myself "let him decide, it's his car"

so i'd suggest that you have the 2 product pictures up side by side and make some comparisons.

i'm not making any $$$ off this. you get charged what ever is there.

i don't even need one cos i've already ordered, paid and posted the 6MT one for my and another forum member.

i'm simply doing this to be nice. :)
