Any suggestions on lowering my Wagon?
I am new to the game and was just after a bit of advice when it comes to lowering and stiffening up the car.
willing to spend a little but still dont want to go over the top.
Sitting a lil lower and a lil stiffer and i will be STOKED.
was looking at sti pinks but is there any other cheaper/better alternatives that wont compromise Quality??

you want something really compatible with the Bilsteins you already have..

STI springs would be a nice compliment. Dont try fitting a STI lip after lowering your wgn..

We don't believe in modifying the Liberty on this forum. "Stick to stock". Yup, that's our motto ...... hahahahahaha.

As long as you stay away from Pedders or Kings, you should be alright. But how low were you thinking about going? 15mm? 25mm? 40mm? There should be a set of quality springs that will suite each height. Are you worried about clearance? Are you after a more aggressive appearance? Not sure about cheaper with the exchange rate the way it is now.

But you should browse through the 'Post Your Mods' section and look at some of the springs people have put on, and see how it has lowered their Liberty. See if you like anything because each person has their own preference on how they are will to go.

Actually, no.

Even with factory springs or STi Pinks installed, the stock Bilstein struts suffer from insufficient travel. Anything lower will make this situation worse eventually to the point of being dangerous, unless you pull the struts apart and modify them.

Going for substantially higher rate springs will minimise these negative effects, but may also be uncomfortable or require revalving of the shocks to match your new fully sik springs. There is no Japanese sticker that can change this.

If you want the dropt on its gutz look and don't care (or can't tell) how the car handles, go for it. If you want a good result, then it's a bit more involved than simply staying away from Pedders or Kings (the latter of which I've bought over a dozen sets of springs from and always found to be excellent).

My advice, unless you are prepared to do more than simply put in a set of springs, don't touch it because you will only make it worse*.

But your wisdom holds true for any mod/upgrade/change to any part, not just suspension. If he really didn't care he could just cut the springs and be done with it.

Besides, Josh was after cheaper alternatives to STi springs that had a reputation for quality, not "Bling My Ride But Make Sure It Doesn't Effect My Suspension Setup and Ride Quality And Other Negative Effects".
