Tierod length?

Postby cowwws » Tue Mar 01, 2022 9:27 am

Hi all - i've just ordered a replacement set of tierods but my ebay seller has two sizes listed and is asking -
Kindly please check and confirm with us your Rack End size if is 320mm 16mm 1.5 x 14mm x 1.5 or 310mm 14mm 1.5 x 14mm x1.5?
As there are 2 sizes under your vehicle details.

I'd rather not have to take tierod and end off just to measure - does anyone know which size is more suitable for my 2006 Lib wagon?

Thanks
James

Since inner tie rods rarely go bad, why not buy oem using the part number?

The outer tie rods are universal between most Subaru, you could get whiteline roll centre adjustment type for less bump steer.

ITR’s see part #2, this diagram is for my07 gtb.
The alternative, potentially longer ITR p/n might be for Outback or “wide track” GH?

Partsouq one site that does oem at reasonable prices.

Otherwise, I’d try my local driveshaft shop, A1 Driveshaft in Collingwood, Statewide in Mulgrave.

So I looked at all (most of) the options for pre and postfl, the ITR’s are also universal across Gen4 models, there is a part number revision from early prefl to late prefl and post.
