Stock ride height

Postby *thomas* » Fri Sep 20, 2019 6:44 pm

Hi all

I have a EUDM gen 4 2.0R wagon and want to lower it using OEM springs (not because I want to, but because the Belgian law gives no other options).

So, I have fitted B6 Bilsteins with new KYB springs (OEM spec) and my ride height is (tyres are 215 / 45 / 17):

front: center hub to arch 405mm - tarmac to arch 704mm

rear: center hub to arch 388mm - tarmac to arch 686mm

Can you guys give me some measurements from 2.0GT, 2.0GT spec B's and maybe (if someone has one) a 2.0R spec B. A VIN number would be very convenient as it would allow me to look up part numbers.

Thanks

Thomas

Others may be able to confirm, but the OEM gen 4 Tuned by STI model, which I am pretty sure sits on STI pink springs is going to be the lowest option from factory. I reckon that is the measurement and parts you will want.

Not easy to lower the front of a 2.0r as its somewhat lighter at the front, iirc kings ssl front springs are the key.
But you can google this forum to see what others have done.

Eg: https://www.google.com.au/search?biw=32 ... fcrpCAvUOk

Or iirc Bilstein coilovers were a factory option in japan: could that get you past the laws?

Vin number lookup info is in the parts link in my signature below.
