These are even better than $4000 Ohlins, for half the price. They make factory Bilsteins feel like a boat by comparison, while maintaining the same comfort. And if you're running Bilsteins on lowered springs - the SW are more comfortable.

I've spent a lot of money/time rebuilding/re-valving and trying to get the settings/valving/springs right on the Bilsteins - only to end up with less comfort, significantly less grip and a less enjoyable driving experience than SW.

Are these still available to buy?

Contact Shockworks via their website or on FB...

I’ve had mine for ages: 65k km. :good:

Coincidentally, that’s around the mileage that Shockworks recommend an affordable service, one that includes the latest damper code revision/upgrade.

Chris Obrien, son of the founder Brett, has masterminded the new damper strategy, one that’s said to be more compliant in steady state freeway cruise, whilst retaining the digressive damping tendencies that provide exceptional handling and recovery at the limit.

Additionally, the current release front assemblies include a shorter damper body that will allow a greater range of lowering compared to the first release.
