As the title states, I'm looking to replace my brake rotors/discs on my own but know nothing about mechanics.

I'd like to know if this is at all possible given my zero experience and want to save $ lol.

Is anyone able to offer advice? What brands should I use? What tools would I need?

It's for an 09 BL 2.5i heritage

Easy to do. Suggest watch a few vids/walkthroughs on youtube. Allocate plenty of time and don't rush. Use quality tools.

Rotors I've been very happy with DBAs (slotted). Pads I've tried many brands over the years. Currently using Project Mu pads. Get street pads with low dust. So many choices, search is your friend.

It's easy for anyone with the right tools.

So just be prepared.

A mallet for getting rotors off the hubs as they will be stuck.

A good breaker bar for getting the bolts on the calipers to move.

Wd40 so pre soak everything that's probably rusted on.

Just get some bendix pads if you don't have any particular preference.

RDA plain rotors and Intima SS pads (or QFM HPX, both are good).
Also get a couple of bottles of DOT4 brake fluid and flush the system.
