2006 H6 Brake help

Hi I'm in the process of replacing the rotors on my 2006 3.0R H6 and bought DBA 400 series T3 rotors. Upon removing the tyre i found that the original rotor had a lip and the DBA ones are flushed. I have attached the pics hope it helps.

I also wasn't able to remove the rear rotor that is currently on my car. I even tried using the two screw holes to push the rotor out but it wouldn't budge. Am I missing something here?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

That's a shield and is pot riveted to the hub. It's not meant to be removed.

Try hitting the rotor on the other side with a rubber mallet.

Have you disengaged the hand brake...? That might be a good place to start when removing the rears

Tried that and still wouldn't budge. Will the attached replacement rotor from DBA be ok to use?

Undo handbrake. Use the bolts to pry it out, swapping sides every now and then.

Don't forget to adjust the inner handbrake shoe if necessary.

Is the new rotor exactly the same size - same inside, and everywhere outside? Then yes.

If you're talking about a small lip on the actual disk surface (outer edge), it's from wear. You should consider changing your pads, if they're worn, or at least give them a sand and make sure they're even.

If you're not comfortable doing the job...take it to a mechanic...brakes aren't something you want to mess up.

The handbrakes are not engaged. I was only concern with the lip in the center of the rotor which is not on the DBAs. Ive checked with DBA and they have sent me the correct part(s).

I had issues with the front rotors shuddering when I brake but since I was replacing the front ones I thought Id change the rears as well.

What Lip?
That is the hub?
The centre of the disc rotor locates on the hub and a portion of the hub protrudes though the disc rotor to locate the wheel centrally?
What you believe to be one piece is in fact two pieces?

When you finally are able to remove the rotor all will be revealed?

There is a shoe adjuster to wind the shoes on/off, you get to it from the inside and pop out an oval shaped grommet.
