Gen 3 rim/tyres sizes

Both of my son's have Gen 3 sedans and I'm helping them with new wheels and suspension mods.
Lowered approx. 30 mm
18x8 45+ offset rims (42+ offset also being considered)
225/35/18 tyres
Everything I have read on here says these specs should be fine, but the boys can't afford to have any problems as their on reasonably tight budgets.
Any advice gratefully accepted.
