Hi,

I am interested to know the differences between Cusco and Whiteline front and rear sway bars. Does any one have experience with both? Is one better than the other or is it just a price and looks preference? Also what price difference are we talking about? I have used Whiteline stuff before and have been happy with their stuff, but just wanted to know if there was a big price and performance difference in the Cusco stuff. Thanks.

cusco is actually cheaper from what Phat and I worked out, the only reason why we pay more for cusco gear is because its been shipped from Japan.

So is Cusco stuff better, worse, same as Whiteline stuff, or does it all come down to bling factor??

Price difference between the 2 are minimal in all honestly (Maybe $40 each bar - Basically the freight costs from Japan).

My choice would be Cusco because it Japanese & it looks the goods (Not that you get to see them much) but a heap of the guys are running Whiteline stuff (See Arith's member profile he posted last week) & they are more then happy. Whiteline as a brand & quality has come along way in the past few years.

What size front are rear bars are people running? I am thinking of getting 22mm front and rear.

The Whiteline one is <$200, the Cusco one is closer to $300. Each.

x2...

If there is no difference in performance and the only difference if price, I will probably stick to the Whiteline stuff.

Unless you're brand conscience, the Whiteline will do just fine.

It might make a difference, but not $100 (or 50%) difference.

Each.

P.S. In all honesty I wouldn't bother doing the front sway bar, the rear is adequate. The auto gearbox apportions power 70% front, 30% rear anyway. You want more rear oversteeriness happening

Got a 6sp GTB, so I think the torque split is a little different from the autos.
23mm front and 21 mm rear for sizes has come up a couple of times. Anyone else got different sizes or is this the common sizes to get.

Even with the "50/50 split" manuals, it's not 50/50 - it's closer towards being symmetrical, but it's still far from it - I mean, the auto was meant to be 45/55 F/R.

I have a 20mm AVO adjustable rear sway bar. Stock front (for reasons I've outlined above)

how much do the AVO sway bars set you back?
