Repaint of stock Gen IV repaired wheels

Ok, so had a spare set of Gen IV wheels I'd stashed away to be repaired and repainted to start bringing my Spec-b back to new.
So asked Extensive Wheel Services in Adelaide to repair and repaint them in the original colour. Then had new tyres fitted.
Man, it's not a cheap exercise!
The wheels were beautifully finished. Absolute top job. They then went to see Hamish at Elite Finish for coating before tyres were fitted.
Anyway, when i picked the wheels up from Extensive Wheel Services, they weren't exactly the stock silver I asked for.
I wasn't sure of the colour and decided to go with it and see if it grew on me.......
So what do people think?!

Which I think are the originals. The lighter colour might look OK on a silver car.

Would you mind telling us how much you paid for the repair and respray per wheel? And by repairs I'm guessing you mean sanding back any gutter rashes etc?

Are you sure? I think the wheel off the car is the original.

The centre cap doesn't match on the new wheels which is why I think thats the case.

Ok, to clear up the confusion, the newly painted wheels are on the car, the lighter silver ones are the original colour.
I actually think the darker ones look better on my car, but the colour of the car influences the decision.
So, as for price, stand by for the heart attack........its not too easy to paint shadow chrome really well. I got cheaper quotes from people who didn't seem at all confident when i told them it was a shadow chrome finish.
So in the end i just paid the money as i like the stock wheels. And the finish was superb. Perfect.
So to fix the scratches and gutter rash and make sure they were straight and round and then paint was $330 per wheel.
Then new tyres, Bridgestone Potenza S001's and associated wheel alignments and balancing etc made an average of near on $290 per tyre. Road noise is fairly low too.

I now have 5 spare stock colour wheels with tyres in varying condition from excellent to some gutter rash and tyres from brand new to almost needing replacement if anyone needs one?!

That's pricey, but if you are happy with the stock rims and loved the original style, it doesnt matter what anyone says. I am a fan of the dark look. I would have gotten the caps painted the same color though. But that's just me. All you need is some Shockworks coilovers and more low and this would look even more pimp

Ok. It just looked to me like the darker wheel has marks on it, so I assumed that was the one not painted. The lighter wheel seems cleaner and blemish free. Must be the photo. IMO darker looks better too. That's why I leave the brake dust on mine

Factory MY07 on SpecB rims are finished in 'black chrome' paint, notoriously difficult to match if you are repairing one rim out of four. (I went through this with my panel beater)

Maybe the refinisher was a little heavy with the black??

I don't mid the darker look, but I think it needs the cap painted to match and a set of black wheel nuts.

I agree, painted center caps and black or dark chrome nuts to complete the look.
