Kartboy adapter brackets don't fit rear Brembos???

This is weird...

They don't even bolt to the calipers! - Am I doing something wrong?

Looks like I should file the caliper down a bit in the areas where there is interference?

And the bolts don't fit the threads of the caliper - I assume I can reuse the old bolts... err which I dont think I got with the calipers! - DOH

I've heard that on some sets you need to file/grind away part of the adaptor to allow the holes to line up. Where the adaptor is touching the calliper on those 2 spots, that's where you need to file it away

The Kartboys were designed for fitting WRX calipers, not Brembo's. You will need to file/machine a gap into the adapter to make it fit onto the caliper and then you will need to grind away about 3mm from the hub of the rear wheel to make the adapter line up with the bolts on the hub (the centre of the adapter will hit the hub).

Here's mine:

And yes, use the bolts supplied with the Brembos.
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...

Hyrax, thanks for the assistance here, I am about to do my rear brakes... I am hoping before Xmas, however I am swamped with daily activities ahah. I have a quick question regarding the bolts, so what you are saying is to use the old bolts off the normal stock rear brake or is there something else I have to buy. I have not really taken a look at the stock brakes for my GT so I am hoping there are four nuts and its just going to be as simple as bolt the brake caliper to the adapter and then the adapter to the car... after the fun grinding :D

Your OE rear GT caliper bolts are used to bolt the kartboy adapter to the hub. Did your Brembo rear calipers come with bolts ? If so use them to bolt brembo rear caliper to kartboy adapter. If not then you need to buy some. The brembo rear calipers use a different bolt pitch/thread to your OE GT brakes

A fastener and or engineering supply shop should have them. Search on this forum for the correct pitch/thread/size. Mark aka crusin has posted the information. Alternatively bring the rear caliper and kartboy adapter with you and the fastener and or engineering supply shop will measure up and provide correct bolts.
