I've got a 1999 liberty 2.5 RX wagon and I'm looking at getting a brake upgrade for my car, I've found some brakes off a '99 liberty B4,
this might be a newbie question but this is gonna be my first mod, so would those brakes fit in stock rims on my car??

Factory Service Manual suggests KA models (for Australia) with 2.5 SOHC had 16inch wheel brakes.

2.0T models also had the same 16inch wheel brakes at front.
The difference is 2.0T had 290mm ventilated discs at rear while 2.5 SOHC had 290mm solid disc rotors.

So, there may be no point in front brake upgrade.

Answer for rear is 290mm ventilated should fit inside wheel as 290mm solid?

I find it hard to believe the stock rear brakes on your car are 290mm. I think they are 266mm solid.

So if you can get 290mm rears that would be an upgrade.

You'll have to sign up to that forum. It's a good suby forum anyway to have a membership to. Lots of goodies for sale there that will fit liberties and the prices are a bit lower sometimes since not everyone has a membership.

The rears are 290mm solid on the 15inch and 16inch brakes and 290mm ventilated on the 16Inch with Turbo?

You will need 17 inch wheels (minimum) to swing over the 316mm rotors from the GT Spec B brakes.

I stand corrected, that's pretty interesting. I guess subaru downgraded the next generation for some reason.

Wheels are always nice to upgrade anyway, get some fatter ones so that you'll have more rubber on the road to compliment the better brakes.
