Thanks for the tip. I'll look into this. Btw, would you know if the wheel specs will fit the Liberty? Without fender rolling?

Yes, they will fit fine. No rolling necessary.

225/45/18 or 225/40/18 rubber to suit (dunno if the 2012 2.5i has a slightly smaller wheel than the 3.0 and GT like the Gen4 did - compare your stock wheels and rubber with the specs above on a tyre size calculator).
I was going to procrastinate, but I put it off...

So I'm already getting the 18x8.5 +44 rims, any suggestions on where I can get tyres? I live in Perth and I don't know if Bob Jane's or Tyrepower charge way too much.

Can't speak for Perth, but lots of places in Sydney are happy to ship. I last bought my Kuhmo KU36 tyres at a good price from International Tyre Trader in Sydney. They also list their wares on their FleaBay store.

Thank you for all your help. I was able to have the new wheels and tyres put on today. I am currently using Nexen tyres as per the shop's recommendation and I got them for a good price. So far I am satisfied with its performance. One thing I have to do now is lower the height with springs :)

Great choice in wheels. Ive used the Nexen tyres before too. They arent bad for the street as long as you dont push them. They will be sufficient.

Is that seriously the stock height for Gen5? Holy cow, that's huge...

It's my first time to use Nexen as well, hopefully it'll last long as I don't really drive that hard :)

Yup, that's stock height and it's unbearably high especially after putting on bigger wheels :') Do you have any suggestions with regards to which springs I should get? I've look at King Springs but I'm not sure if they're any good.

Kings Springs are an ok entry level spring for those on a budget. It will do the job but the ride quality will be less than you have now. I wouldnt go less than a Kings low (25mm drop) to still give an added handling gain but not sacrifice ride quality too much.

Not a fan of King as they used to have a long time reputation of sagging after not too long (don't know if that still applies today). Personally I went the whole hog and got coilovers, but I'm also wearing boots that are 5% larger than they should be to correct the speedo, but it also fills out the wheel arches more.
