Would +45 offset fit my MY07 Gt Spec B?

Postby Riffnugget » Sat Jul 18, 2015 6:55 pm

Hi there guys, real quick question, I'm currently looking at a set of Advanti Tenzo 18x7.5 inch rims, 5x100 AND 5x114 multistud pattern, with a +45 offset. I've done my research, but not sure about the +45 offset of them. Would they still fit my MY07 2007 Liberty Gt Spec B, completely stock?
I appreciate any replies,
Cheers, Ethan

http://www.wheelsrus.com.au/blog/tech/w ... explained/

Standard Spec-B wheels are 18 x 7JJ with 55mm offset.
So, updating to 18 x 7.5JJ with 45mm offset will increase the track by 20mm (two times the difference in offset)
The inner or inside edge of the wheel will move away (outward) from the suspension by 3.65mm. (the difference in offset less half the wheel width increase)
Yes, they will fit and have (about) an extra 1/8" suspension clearance.

By the same calculation, the outer edge of the wheel will stand out a further 16.35mm than before (the offset increase plus half the wheel width increase).
