Heres why i need to know

I have Spec B suspension in my 2007 Outback but im not happy with how the car feels. Im thinking its because i dont know what model the suspension is from and i have fitted my stock outback rear springs to the bilsteins as i didnt want the saggy butt which is what happens with liberty rear suspension.

Seems like it could have either 2.5 or 3.0 suspension which is different accoring to the above as they would have different spring rates.

So im thinking i buy some new KYB Liberty shocks and fit my stock outback springs so that should give the car a drop and still feel stock at the same time?

King Spring's aftermarket springs may be and could very well be the same.
The OEM springs may be and very well be could be different.

Every now and then a set of Liberty Gen4 Spec-B wagon springs hit the forums For Sale section.

What do you not like with the "feeling" of your present Spec-B set up?
Too hard, too soft, too high, too low?

So i bought a set of Bilsteisn from a Wagon. Dont know what year or model though

Its too hard over bumps and the car bounces around a fair bit

And im thinking because i put the outback rear springs in the car that spring is not matched/rated for a bilstein shock.

So im thinking i put my set of Spec B rear sprimgs in and see what happens but i didnt want the saggy butt but may have found a set of new spec b rear springs

Okay,
It may be worth noting or it may just be irrelevant, but.......

About 24 months ago Claremont Tyre Services at Bankstown and another place in Regents park were selling Liberty Spec-B Bilstein suspension for Gen 4 sedans and Spec-B wheel packages.
It seems that they had picked up the last of the standard Spec-B suspension and wheels from the last of the "Tuned by STI" vehicle upgrade builds.

The said the suspension (sedan) would be compatible with the wagon if the original wagon springs were used. Needed the original springs for the ride height.
So, it might be okay to use the standard liberty springs with the Spec-B Bilstein dampers on the wagon?
It may be worth noting or it may just be irrelevant.....

Ok im going to try using Brand New Spec B wagon springs on my bilsteins. I have some used wagon spec b springs but afraid the rear will sag.

If im still not happy will buy new KYB shocks and put my outback springs in them as that will work.

Cheers
