Hey guys considering getting some new wheels at the moment and just wondering if I could get some fitment advice. I have already read the guides and posts online just as a heads up, but want a more specific opinion though.

I'm tossing up against the XXR 527 and the XXR 530.
The XXR 527 comes as a 18 x 8.75 as does the XXR 530.
HOWEVER you can also get the XXR 530 as a skinnier 7.5.

I'm curious if you guys think the 8.75 is too wide and would rub way too much? Have seen a post by someone previously mentioning they did for him.
Would you say the 7.5 is skinny looking? I want it to fill the guards a bit more and not sure whether I should maybe look at some other wheel offered in a 8 inch.

Secondly curious what tyres people are running and what you guys would recommend? Getting a great price on Dunlops at the moment.

For context I'm running on stock spec b suspension and have no plans on coilovers anytime soon. 2008 3.0R Spec B.
Also sorry for lacking the offset amounts, can't find them at the moment

XXR 530 7.5 inch wide: +38mm
8.75 inch wide: +33mm
XXR 527 8.75 inch wide: +35mm

You research is correct with offsets.

They are too small for our cars and will make the rim stick out well past the guard without serious camber adjustment. If you can get a 7.5in wide rim, a +40 offset is possible. If its an 8in wide rim id get something with more offset like a +42 or +45. Thats what im running now. 18x8 +45 and even then im still going get the rear guards rolled to ensure the guards dont rub under load.

As for tyres im running 225/40/18 and it fits and looks good. Some are running 235s but with guard rolling and some neg camber.

My camber is about -0.5 to -0.8deg at the front.

A 7.5" at +38 with a 225/40 will fill the guards just fine. I'm running 7.5 +45 with only a 215/45 at the moment and it fills out pretty well. As Shav said the 8.75s at those offsets will require a lot of work to fit and will in no way be legal. The 7.5 while still not being technically legal will probably only require a guard roll. By "legal" I'm referring to the track increase bought about the difference in offset. In QLD, NSW, and VIC, not sure about the rest, you are only allowed a track increase of 26mm which means 12mm a side. Stock is +55 so you can go to +43 before you run afoul. That being said you'd have to be unlucky for someone to check. For a daily I'd stick with the 7.5 combo save some headaches and some coin.
