18 x 8.5 +42

Postby HTPR3M » Tue Jun 02, 2015 11:07 am

Hey guys.

Just recently purchased an 05 gt sedan and have spent the last week going over the forum trying to find this info before asking.
im looking at these wheels from rota in 18x8.5 +42

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 23&alt=web

Ive seen alot of you run a +45 or +46 which means there isnt alot of difference however...
has anyone ran +42 in 8.5 wide and if so did you have to roll and or pump guards?

Thanks

Ive seen guys fit this offset before ok. It should fit but it will come down to your tyre choice, how much camber you decide to run and if you want to roll your guards.

If you are going to get these wheels, go a 225 tyre, roll the rear guards to be safe and maybe add -0.5 of camber to be sure everything will clear ok under load.
Cheers

You will be fine

Awesome wheel combo for a lib

Slight guard rolling and slight camber required to clear

Need lower arm set or control arm bushings to get any rear end camber though. If liberty's run the same as legacy's stock will be 0 up front and -1 +/-0.25 but rear has not way of adjusting.
Need one of these two options. Arms are alot more expensive but give alot more adjustability, also some people report the bushings can slowly twist themselves out of alignment.
