07 sedan front billies fit my wagon?

Postby Bugalugs » Wed May 27, 2015 6:55 am

Finally sourced some Billies with pink springs.
They are from an 07 SpecB tbsti sedan, front billies and pinks (done 30,000 km).

Question: Are these ok for my 05gt wagon? Or do I need to source a set off a wagon? I thought that maybe since it's just the fronts only, they would be ok if I source rears off a wagon, but after searching still can't get a definite answer. Can someone please enlighten me before I order them, they good for my wagon or nah? Figured most of weight in wagon would be in the rear. They are $150 but I need to add interstate freight cost.

Thanks heaps much appreciated!

All billies are the same between sedan and wagon as far as i'm aware. Only the spring are different, rears being longer on the wagon.

Yea as above the springs are what matters. Front end differs between turbo and 3.0r due to engine weight and rears differ between sedan and wagon

Thanks guys much appreciated! Right as I am about to order the fronts mentioned, I got contacted with an offer to buy "HKS hypermax 3 boxer balance limited edition coilovers in as new condition" for $1200. In a predicament now, anybody know much about them? Sound like a good deal/upgrade compared to the billies/pinks? I know nothing about coilovers. Thanks :)

Pretty sure those Coilovers are the ones that have been revalved for better dampening compared to off the shelf units.
Damn good price too depending on kms and condition.

if they are as new, I'd be jumping on that - it's a BC BR price for a higher quality unit. That said - I've never driven or been in a car or seen a car with them in it.

Thanks guys. Yeah searching the net can't find much info on them and they now sell the next gen IV model. They look in great nic from the pics and he assures me < 8,000 km on them. Seller seems really honest. Going to inspect them I think and take it from there. If I get them will post an update. Cheers!

So ended up getting a full set of bilsteins today with around 45,000 km on them, owner said confidently no knocks or leaks and they didn't look like they leak (and he hand't cleaned them). They apparently came out of a 07 specB sedan but he didn't sound %100 sure. Tried tracking them via the part numbers on the net for the last hour and can't seem to pinpoint it. I read one link saying they were from an 09 SpecB, could be they ran from 07-09? Part numbers are:

Rear: 20365AG281

Fronts: 20310AG421 and 20310AG431

If anyone knows how to work out exactly what It may have came off that would be handy. Either way, time to get some springs now. Either Pinks or Teins, anyone tried both and have an opinion of whats better? Looking for comfort with a sport feel/better handling. Thanks heaps to all who have helped me so far on the journey
