[Question] Subaru Liberty 98 problems

Hi everyone,

I'm Dennis from Belgium in currently backpacking Australia and I bought a Subaru Liberty 98 to travel around in.This is my very first car so I'm really happy with it, however there are 2 problems with the car. When I drive around a 110kmph my steering weel starts to shake, and when I take a sharp corner to the right I hear a weird noise.

Steering wheel shake (watch 1080p full screen)

Turning noise

I went to a mechanic and he didn't find any problems with the car he said only the wheels needed to be balanced and that I should try changing the power steering fluid to get rid of the noise. I don't think that will help since it's only when I turn right. He also said he would change the timing belt if I would be travelling long distances. Total costs for timing belt replacement and wheel balancing would be $700. I know almost nothing about cars but I don't want to do costs that might not help this problem, I think balancing the wheels might only help for the shaking and not for the turning.

Do you guy's what the problem might be?
