Front coilovers 'sinking'

Postby |_Ash_| » Sat Apr 25, 2015 9:35 am

Hi guys,

I've had my TEIN StreetFlex coilovers on my Gen IV Liberty for a while now, and they are always loosing their height on the front wheels, especially on the front right.

I've taken the wheels off, re-adjusted the height and tightened the lower ring multiple times, but it still gradually looses height over a period of about 2-3 weeks and I have to re-adjust the height all over again.

There is a noticeable decrease in height between the rubber and the wheel arch, and if I don't continually adjust the height, I get scrubbing over even the mildest of bumps. I've had a friend use extensions on the wrenches to get more torque when tightening the rings, but it hasn't made too much of a difference.

This is getting kind of old, so I'm just wondering if anyone out there could tell if I've done something wrong, or if there's a way to get them to sit tightly without losing height. I've tried everything I know, short of using Loctite.

Any ideas or tips would be great.
