Finally decided to move on from stock 17s to 18's.

so been looking around and deciding to settle on these:

Enkei GTC 01 - 18x8 -48mm

might want to get some brembos later.. think they'll fit?

gonna need a new set of tyres as well, any recommendations?
are the Bridgestone RE050A's still available or Michelin Pilot Sport, might opt for a set of those.

Nice looking rims.

How much are a set of those setting you back?

If your going for the 215x45 17's, make sure you go to 225x40 18's.

That's not too bad. I think anything under 3k for a good set of rims is pretty good. Problem is, how much a good set of rubber will be on top of that.

there is no 18x8 +48 in 5x100

only 18x7.5 +48 in 5x100

Nice choice! I really wanted these wheels at one stage but they didn't have anything in 19's.

the deciding factor for this is spoke clearance to disc face. this can be acheived by either offset or rim design.

long and short of it, get a ruler and measure how far the spoke are from the face of your brake disc to the inside of the spokes.

i THINK the brembos need 65mm clearance, but someone with a TBSTi will be better to clarify this.

The Australian distributor reckons that they are 18x8, I couldn't find documentation to prove him right but on the phone he said that there were no 18x7.5 (even though the web all says 18x7.5)

Prodrive has a similar wheel called GC-014i in 19x8 with a +50mm offset. This would have been a good alternative for me except it doesn't come in chrome! Only British Black (shadow chrome) and silver.

Ric should add a button called "Phat Check", where a PM is sent to Phat to confirm whatever is being discussed.

There are so many facts that we all get wrong that requires expert advice.
