^^^ what he said plus some negative camber. Around -0.5 if using a 225 tyre.

Hey guys sorry to keep posting here but how about 17x8.25 +35 offset? Would these fit? Anyone done it?

more to the point, 17's would look a bit funny, too small for such a big car

Hey guys sorry to keep revisiting this topic but I just don't wanna buy wheels that don't fit. Buy I am now looking at 17x8.25 +35 offset. Thoughts on these?

Not without work on your guards and some significant camber.

As a guide, if you are looking at wheels greater than 8" wide, you need at least a +40 offset, preferably a +45 and even then you would need to roll the guards.

Thats what 18x8.5 +47 with 1 degree camber on the front looks like. Hard to see from that pic but a 235 tyre just fits under the guard but the rim sticks out a tad. Would need another 0.5-1 degree camber and most likely fender rolling to get the rim fitting snugly under. Rear with 1.5 degrees camber fits rim under fender fine. Suspect upper arm camber adjustment gives more fender clearance than lower arms since its pulling the top in rather than pushing the bottom out

Your 8.25 +35 rim would stick out another 8.8mm further than that. Only benefit on going for a 17 would be being able to run a narrower tyre and would have significantly more travel before the rim gets near the fender.

I did think about what 17s would look like, they would look to small on such a large car as one of you mentioned earlier. I have gone back to the Rota G-Force's they are a nice wheel and are 18x8.5 +44 (or could possibly buy a set from America with +48 offset). Just one more question, will these still fit without rubbing when I go low?

Thanks, Joel.

Will rub without adding camber. Thats almost the same spec as mine, only it will stick out 3mm further. How low are you considering? Using 225 rubber will help out quite a bit but not when going really low.

I am not going to install it myself, I am going to a local tyre/wheel place to get it done. I went and talked to him about it a couple days ago and he said it should fit fine even when I go low.

based on my own experience with similar wheel specs, 18x8.5 +35, you will definitely poke and you will definitely need camber & guard rolling if you go any sort of low.

Just an update, I did buy the XXR 527. Went to get them fitted and I need my guards pulled aswell as rolled for them to fit. So once guards have been pulled should sit nice and flush. Keen to see the final outcome!!
