Hi guys,

iv got a 2004/05 Liberty Gt,
when i purchased it i got the original 4 rims and tires with it, but the previous owner had put 2007 Liberty GT rims on it, which was fine, i like them,

iv been looking at replacing the tread, it currently has 215/45/18's on it
since iv been looking at tyres iv seen that this seems to be an odd size, they are a bit harder to find and seem to be more expensive

is it possible to go wider to a more common width without causing any rubbing or anything ? im happy to buy the same size, just thought id ask
if so what would be my best options ?

225/45R18 will still fit the std 7" rim ok (it's what I've done). Also means the speedo is corrected by ~3%.

Quite a few options <$200 per corner in this size. I have Kumho KU31.

As Gene said, lots of us went for the 225/45r18 instead as we could not fathom the price difference to fit a 215
