Shocks/ springs options for 06 RB

Postby Fingolfin » Sun Mar 22, 2015 8:48 pm

I have a 2006 Liberty wagon 3.0 RB, need to replace the front shocks. What options do I have instead of get another set of bilsteins. Happy to get something that's more comfortable as opposed to firm.

Had a look on the KYB website but it states they don't have shocks for a 3.0 RB

thanks

Kyb don't have shocks for the rb because they came out with bilsteins only, although I'm pretty sure the 3.0r (like the other lower spec models) came with kyb shocks and they will fit. Otherwise your other option is coilovers but most people would consider these 'firm' so that probably isn't an option for your situation. :)

I am curious as to why you'd want to get kyb's over bilsteins, I don't find them firm at all and I'm presuming you don't drive in the twisties very often if you want softer suspension?

Wife will be taking the car, so something more liveable as opposed to the bilsteins.

So a set of KYB shocks that are for a 3.0R would fit? What about shocks? Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply

Someone else can confirm 100%, but ones out of the 3.0r should fit

The springs are all the same except for the Sti pink springs which are firmer and lower, so you won't want those :)
