'Good quality wheels' and 'reasonable price' do not go into the same sentence with eachother, unless you are talking about second hand Works/Rays/Wedssport/etc...

XXR 527's are way too over played on Liberty's, if you look at a few members cars you will soon find they are on nearly 1 out of every 2 or 3 Subaru/Mitsubishi/Nissan

They are definitely not a good quality wheel. Yes they will be fine for every day driving in terms of holding up to potholes and every day abuse but thats as far as it goes.

In terms of fitment, you won't get them to fit properly unless you plan on running a bit of camber (not cheap) and doing some (not exactly cheap either) guard work.

Id first off suggest doing a little more research on this forum in the The Gen 4 Wheels Thread to find out what spec's will fit without blowing out your budget.

Also, one last point. Don't be a sheep, get a different style of rim other than XXR 527's or Rota Gravels/Grids. Thats not to say don't get Rota's or XXR's, just have a think about different styles

I agree with Simon, xxr 527s are way to overdone but are a decent looking wheel. Personally the thing that mainly steered me away from them was the ridiculous specs that they have, most people end up getting +38 offset which doesn't fit without a fair bit of camber which will destroy your tires. I'm still in school and managed to buy enkeis so if you wait longer and save you'll end up with a better quality product :)

Another option is have a look at Ultrex wheels. Well priced and fine for the street, not super aggressive specs so will fit easily too.

yeah definitely a good looking wheel i couldn't really care if a lot of people are running them i like the look of them, my price range is about 1.5K dont really want to spend too much more than that on wheels to be honest but ill definitely look around too see what other options i have thanks for the advise guys

For the budget you have I think XXRs would be one of the better choices. That and Rotas. Understandably you won't want to be spending over 2k with your current situation, just stick to a reasonable offset and and nothing over 8" unless you're willing to camber up + tyre stretch. 527S being common, see that as a good thing. I dont mind the 527's but the offset for our cars is crap IMO. Ive been looking at the ROTA PWR FA's. They are same size but a better offset and with the right size tyre, could work well.

I find though that there aren't a lot of wheels out there that actually 'look good'. There is a number to choose from, yes, but to me, they are either outdated, ugly, or massively overpriced or have the wrong offset. It could be that I am procrastinating too.

HAHAHA! that just made my day!

To the O.P., If I were you, I'd be checking out the Subaru parts Facebook page, this forum and other Subaru forums. You can buy second hand quality Jap wheels often with tyres for the same price as brand new cheap China wheels and tyres.

To the OP, Koya's would fit well within your budget. The average price per wheel is $300 for custom width, PCD and offset!
